Designing tiny nail art scenes required more time than I thought

I decided to do a beach scene on each nail. Drawing the waves and sand was so slow. I kept going, even when my hand cramped up. After four hours, the set was done and looked perfect. It showed me that good art can't be rushed.

Four hours for a beach scene on every single nail is just unbelievable. I would have given up after the first wave, my patience is that short. Drawing all that detail on such a tiny space sounds like a special kind of torture. Your hand cramping up proves how hard you worked on it. I guess that's what it takes to make something look perfect, but still, four hours. That's longer than some of my short haul drives.

Actually, that time flies when you're into the detail work. Some folks get the same feeling from building model ships or tending a perfect garden. It's less about patience and more about getting lost in something you care about. That hand cramp is a badge of honor, you know? What's the last thing you spent hours on without checking the clock?

Honestly, my version of that would be a single wobbly line and a beige blob I'd call 'abstract sand'. I tried a polka dot once and it looked like my nails had the chicken pox. The focus it takes to do real detail on that scale is just a skill I don't have. Huge respect for sticking with it through the cramp, that final perfect set must have felt amazing.
