I finally stopped pushing clients toward balayage for every single request

For the past year, I've been doing way more solid color appointments and seeing way happier results. The change came after a client in Austin told me her old balayage 'looked fried' and just wanted one rich, even shade. Anyone else finding clients are over the super blended look?

My friend's client said her solid black dye job was the BEST decision she ever made.

Totally agree about it being the BEST decision. I went solid black last year and it just makes everything look so put together. Honestly wish I had done it way sooner.

Feel like a good balayage still has its place though... it just needs to be done right and on the right hair. Some of my clients with really fine hair look washed out with one flat color, they need that dimension.
