My $45 subscription to that 'premium prompt vault' was a total waste

It was just a bunch of recycled ideas I could find for free on any writing blog. The only unique thing was a prompt about a character whose job is to taste-test different types of silence. Anyone have a good source for actually fresh ideas?

Right, like how many times can you repackage "write what you know" before it becomes a product. That silence prompt is honestly a perfect metaphor for the whole racket, just people selling you empty space. Makes you wonder who's really getting the quiet end of the deal.

Remember my buddy bought a "secret formula" writing course last year. He got a hundred pages explaining how to find your "voice", which was just a long way of saying write a lot. Sometimes the free stuff is the only stuff that's honest.

Was that the only decent prompt in the whole vault, the silence taster? I guess they figured if you paid forty five bucks for that, you'd be too stunned to speak.
