Wait, she pays the full balance twice a month? That's wild. I can't imagine having that much extra cash just sitting around to send off to the credit card company every two weeks. Most people are just trying to make the minimum payment on time. She must be making bank or living super lean to pull that off.

A buddy of mine does this, he sets a calendar alert for every payday to pay half his credit card bill. He told me it tricks his brain into thinking his limit is lower, so he spends less. It's not about having extra cash like @evan_grant70 mentioned, it's more about a mental trick to stay on budget. He even showed me his spending went down by like 15% since he started.
