Got a weird email from my bank in Phoenix last month that looked real, but the link went to a site with a weird name. How do you spot these things?

Check the sender's actual email address, not just the display name. A legit bank email will come from their real domain, not some random Gmail or a close misspelling. That weird link name is the biggest red flag they gave you.

But what about spoofed domains, @jennybailey? Sometimes the address looks perfect but the email itself is still fake.

Phoenix National Bank emails should only come from pnb.com. That weird link name means you almost clicked on a fake site.
