I finally threw away $400 on a reman injector that was dead out of the box
Ordered a reman injector for a 6.7 Cummins off some online parts place last month. Got it in, swapped it in on a Saturday thinking I'd save time. Truck wouldn't start, sputtered like crazy. Took me three hours of chasing wires and checking fuel pressure before I tested the injector itself. Turns out it was bad from the start. Anyone else had a reman part show up DOA and waste a whole day? Feels like it's happening more and more.

Man oh man, that's a bummer. I had a similar deal once with a reman alternator for my old Duramax that showed up with the voltage regulator all jacked up. Spent a whole Saturday chasing a flickering dash and a dead battery before I finally swapped it out for a new one. It's like some of these rebuilders just don't bother testing them before they ship them out, you know? Did you end up getting a refund for that thing or did they give you the runaround?

Emma Jones hit the nail on the head with that paperweight comment. I finally got a refund after three weeks of back and forth, but only because I threatened to file a chargeback with my credit card company. It's wild how fast they processed it once that card company got involved, guess they didn't want the hassle either.
