Dropped $80 on a fancy Wacom stylus and it peeled apart in two weeks

Bought that pricier Wacom Pro Pen 2 for my tablet. Thought it would give me better control for my line art. Nope. The rubber grip started peeling off after just 14 days. It's just sitting in a drawer now. I can't use it because the bare plastic feels slippery. Went back to my old $20 knockoff stylus that works fine. Anyone else have a premium tool totally fail on them like that?

Nah, a slipping grip totally kills your line control.

Is losing a grip on a stylus really that big of a deal?

Heard a tablet repair guy say the grip wear alone is the number one reason people buy new pens. It's annoying to hold something that keeps slipping, @lilyt23. Ends up messing with your drawing flow more than you'd think.

Honestly feels like one of those things people overthink. You can still draw perfectly fine with a slightly worn grip, just gotta adjust your hand a bit.
