My wifi setup went from hotspot hell to a solid connection in 3 months
I was stuck bouncing between coffee shops in Chiang Mai for weeks (the horror), then I shelled out $40 for a cheap travel router and a local SIM with unlimited data. Now I can actually join Zoom calls without freezing every 5 minutes. Anyone else find that a little hardware upgrade made a huge difference in your work setup?

Wait, spending money on hardware actually made things worse for you? I'm still using the same crusty laptop from 2015 and my hotspot works just fine for meetings, so maybe it's not the gear.

@corap61 yeah exactly, I thought a new laptop would fix everything but it was actually the background stuff eating up bandwidth. Closing Slack and Dropbox sync before a call made way more difference than dropping a grand on hardware.
