Visited the ReStore on Elm Street and their lumber section was a total mess

I stopped by the Habitat ReStore downtown last weekend looking for some 2x4s for a shed project. Their lumber rack was completely disorganized with warped boards mixed in with straight ones and prices all over the place. I spent 20 minutes sorting through piles just to find 6 decent studs. Has anyone else noticed their local ReStore's lumber area going downhill like this?

Honestly I used to defend them but after last weekend I totally get your frustration.

Last weekend I saw someone lose it over a crooked $4 shelf bracket and honestly I had to walk away. Like yeah it's annoying when the wood is split or the screws are stripped but it's a thrift store not IKEA. You're paying 75% less than retail so maybe expect some dings and scratches. I get being frustrated if something was advertised as "new" but this is the same lumber section where I found a 2x4 with a literal knot hole the size of a quarter. Pretty sure nobody is out here curating premium hardwood finds for $2.

Man, that's a pretty harsh review for a thrift store lumber section.
