Just measured my shed frame 3 times - turns out my old tape measure was off by half an inch
I was building a small storage shed for my backyard (you know, a weekend project). I kept getting frustrated that the frame pieces weren't lining up right, even though I measured everything twice. Turns out my old tape measure from the dollar store had stretched out somehow and was reading half an inch short on longer lengths. I borrowed my neighbor's Stanley tape and everything fit perfect on the first try. Has anyone else dealt with tools that are just plain wrong over time?

Isn't it always the cheap tape measures that go bad first?
