The cabinet hinge that took me 3 hours to align

I was replacing some old cabinet doors in my kitchen last Saturday. Thought it would be a quick 45 minute job, pop the hinges on and done. But one hinge kept sagging no matter what I did, I must have tightened and loosened the screws a dozen times. Finally realized the screw hole was stripped out, had to drill it out and jam a toothpick in there with wood glue. Has anyone else had a simple hardware swap turn into a multi hour nightmare?

bro did you at least use a smaller toothpick or just snap one in there? seems like the real nightmare is figuring out why it stripped in the first place.

Man I had one drawer slide eat up a whole Saturday afternoon like that, drives you nuts.

Bet it was the cheap screws they pack with the slides, not the slide itself.
