Warning: chipped a tooth because I stopped wearing my mouthguard during garage woodworking
I have been doing weekend woodworking projects for about 2 years now and always skipped the mouthguard since I was just cutting small pieces. Last Saturday a knot flew off my table saw and hit me right in the front tooth, cracked it clean in half. Has anyone else gotten hurt from something dumb like this and what do you use to protect your face?

Get a full face shield with chin guard. Way better than just a mouthguard.

Wait, are you saying the knot hit you so hard it split your tooth down the middle? That's wild, I always figured those little knots were more annoying than dangerous but I guess not. I use a cheap face shield from the hardware store for my weekend projects, but I never thought about needing a mouthguard on top of that. Now I'm going to be paranoid every time I hit a weird grain in the wood. Glad you're okay though, cracked teeth are no joke.
