Just flushed $1,200 on a 'bargain' hydraulic pump rebuild kit that failed after two days on the water.

The seals blew out during a critical dig in Mobile Bay, costing me a full day's work and a tow back to the dock, so has anyone found a RELIABLE supplier for the older DredgeTech models?

Man, that's the worst. It's like everything's built to fail now. My buddy bought a cheap alternator that fried his boat's electrical system. Another guy got a "deal" on trailer bearings that seized up on the highway. Feels like you can't trust any parts unless they come straight from the original maker, and even then it's a gamble.

Yeah @thomasb41, that "built to fail" thing is so real. I mean, it's not just parts, it feels like everything from appliances to tools is just cheap junk now. You fix one thing and something else breaks in a month.

My friend Mike bought a generic fuel pump for his truck last year. It was half the price of the OEM part and lasted exactly three weeks. The thing just quit while he was driving home from work, left him stranded on the side of the road. He had to get it towed and then buy the real part anyway. Honestly it feels like the cheap option just costs you more in the end with all the hassle.
