Rented a brand new dredge for a job in Savannah last month... went right back to my old one halfway through
Was working a channel on the Savannah River and figured the rental would be faster with all the digital controls and GPS mapping. Three hours in and I was already missing my older machine. The new one had too many sensors that kept shutting things down for no reason. My old 2004 model just digs steady and never complains. Has anyone else found that newer equipment isn't always better for production work?
