Spent $400 on a collapsible drywall cart and it saved my back on a third floor walk-up

Had a job in an old building with no elevator, just narrow stairs. I was looking at carrying up all those 12 foot boards by hand. I bought this folding cart online for about $400, and it was a gamble. It let me strap two boards to it at a time and walk them up, with the wheels taking the weight. My back felt fine at the end of the day. Has anyone found a better way to handle stairs with long sheets?

Get a couple of those long moving straps with the hooks. You can sling a sheet over your shoulder and the strap takes most of the weight off your hands. It's way cheaper than a cart, but you still have to carry the full load.

Wait, is that why my back always feels like a pretzel after moving? I tried those straps once but I think I hooked them wrong, ended up basically wearing the couch like a weird backpack. Still better than trying to death-grip a mattress down three flights of stairs though.

Oh man, wearing the couch like a backpack is a hilarious image... but yeah, that sounds wrong. @abbyf79 mentioned a sheet over the shoulder, so were you trying to hook the straps around the actual furniture legs or something? I'm trying to picture how that even works without just dragging it.
