Walked into a hardware store in Boise and found a whole aisle dedicated to drywall corners
There were like eight different brands of metal and paper corner bead and I stood there for ten minutes trying to figure out which one the old guy running the place would yell at me for picking wrong, has anyone else run into a store that stocks way too many choices for one thing?

Is that store called Builders Discount by chance? Because I swear they have a whole row devoted to corner bead that could confuse a pro. The old guy running the place probably has a strong opinion on which one works best, and you're right, picking the wrong one will get you a lecture. I've seen guys stand there for fifteen minutes just weighing paper bead against vinyl because nobody wants to be the one who grabs the flimsy stuff and has to redo a whole room. Honestly, with that many options, you'd think they'd just label the shelf with the one that actually works for typical drywall jobs. At some point, having too many choices isn't helpful, it's just a headache for anyone who doesn't do this every day.

Six different brands of paper tape alone (not counting the metal ones, obviously). Its like when you go to the grocery store and theres 47 kinds of mustard but none of them are the one you actually want.
