I realized my follow-up emails were way too long after a client in Phoenix said 'just the bullet points next time'

I was sending these huge paragraphs when all they wanted was a quick update. What's your go-to short follow-up template?

My buddy had that same "just the bullet points" moment. He was sending these detailed project updates with weather reports and traffic notes. His client finally sent back a blank email with only a question mark. Now he does three lines max: what we did, what's next, any blockers. It's all they ever wanted.

Oh man, that hits home. I used to write these huge weekly summaries until my boss just started skimming and asking for the one thing that was late. Now I do exactly that, three bullet points. Saves everyone so much time.
