I thought a super long follow-up email was the only way to get a reply, but a 3-line template my buddy sent from a Nashville conference last year actually doubled my response rate.

What's the shortest, most effective follow-up template you've ever used that actually got a 'yes'?

Consider the power dynamic shift. Sending a calendar link first puts the ball firmly in their court and frames you as someone with limited time. It filters out people who aren't serious right away. The danger isn't in being forward, it's in wasting time with endless back and forth messages. This move saves everyone's energy.

Totally get the calendar link move. I tried it once and the person booked a slot called "urgent chat" at 11pm. My calendar looked like I was running a crisis hotline. It did filter them out though, because after that weirdness I just canceled the meeting. Sometimes the power move shows you who's just plain odd.
