My old boss insisted on five paragraph follow-ups, but my new mentor says keep it to three lines max

Last month, I sent a follow-up email to a potential client in Austin that was basically a short novel, just like I was trained. They ghosted me. Then a freelancer I met online shared her three-line template and said anything longer gets ignored. Which approach actually gets a reply these days?

Three lines max, no one reads novels.

So a guy gets fired and it's all because of long emails? Gray314, you sure there wasn't more to that story? Seems like a big jump from writing style to losing your job. Maybe he was just bad at his actual work.
