Changed my mind about fancy LED face masks after dropping $400

I was super skeptical about LED masks for a long time. Thought they were just hype. Then my esthetician friend let me borrow hers for a week. I used it every night on the red light setting for my acne scars. After three nights I actually saw less redness and my skin looked brighter in the morning. So I bought my own Dr. Dennis Gross mask for $400. Worth every penny for me but I know it's a big spend. Has anyone else tried a cheaper one that works just as good?

Honestly, I read somewhere that the cheaper ones from brands like Project E Beauty or even the ones on Amazon can work pretty well if you check the bulb count and wavelength. A buddy of mine got a $60 one off Amazon and swears by it for his wrinkles around his eyes, though he did say the fit was a bit weird compared to the high-end ones. Ngl, the main difference seems to be build quality and maybe how well the light covers your whole face at once. But for the price, if it's just red light for skin, I'd trust the cheaper version before dropping four hundred bucks again.

One of my coworkers actually got that $60 Amazon one after borrowing my friend's high-end panel. She used it for like two months and said her fine lines looked better, but the thing started flickering after a while. She ended up just buying a second one because it was still cheaper than one big brand device. @caleb_bell5 I don't blame you for questioning the price tag, but maybe the cheaper route is worth a shot if you're already seeing some results. She said the coverage wasn't great for her jawline though, so you'd have to hold it closer.

Not sure three nights of less redness justifies a $400 face lamp honestly.
