Supplier return policies are driving me up the wall

I ordered a batch of moisturizers that arrived expired, and the supplier won't take them back. Now I'm stuck with useless stock and out of pocket. What's your go-to move when vendors give you the runaround?

Document every communication with dates and photos of the expiration dates. This evidence is key for a chargeback claim or reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Most suppliers fold when faced with formal complaints backed by solid proof.

Honestly, this whole proof thing reminds me of when my internet went out for a week. I had to dig up like three old emails and a support chat just to get a credit, like @thomasb41 said about the meter reading. Tbh it's not even about the money after a point, it's the principle. You just get tired of feeling like you're always preparing for a fight over stuff that should be simple. Ngl, I keep a folder on my desktop now just for receipts and screenshots, which is kinda sad. It's like your own little evidence locker for daily life.

Totally get what you're saying... it's exhausting having to build a case file for every little thing. Spencerross is right about the proof, but man, it feels bad that we even need it. Like last week I had to screenshot a shipping promise from a store just to get my refund.

Isn't it telling that we've all become amateur detectives in our own lives? I see this with everything from utility bills to online shopping. Last month, I had to take pictures of my meter reading because the company overcharged me. Another time, I saved chat logs with a web host that tried to hide extra fees. It's like we can't trust anyone to do the right thing unless we have proof ready. This constant need for evidence just shows how broken basic trust has become.
