Our reading group's clash over a mother's lie in that family saga

At our last meet-up, we chatted about a story where a mom hides a secret from her kids. It showed how her past shook up the family. Some folks argued she needed to lie to save them from hurt. Other members said honesty would have worked better. I realized family choices are never simple. Like when the kid found out, she got really angry. This talk made me see why people see things so differently.
