Hot take: I used to think padded jackets were bulky, but now I see their smart shape in winter lines. | Fashion Design Ideas - Freelance Forum - The Community for Independent Professionals
My buddy Dave swore he'd never wear a puffy coat, called them marshmallow suits. He got one as a gift and wore it grudgingly to walk his dog in a cold snap. Came back inside twenty minutes later and said he finally got it, he was actually warm the whole time. Now he wears it to get the mail when it's above freezing, he's totally converted.
But isn't that the whole point of the bulk, to keep you warm? Like if you're actually outside in bad weather, you want that sleeping bag feeling. Do people really pick a thin coat that looks good over being warm? Seems like a weird trade-off.
