Spent 6 hours trying to get a clean dart point on this silk blouse pattern

Turns out I needed to switch to a microtex needle and a fresh spool of thread. Anyone have a better method for slippery fabrics?

My chiffon dress needed three new needles and a prayer.

My friend tried to sew a silk scarf once. It ended up looking like a sad spiderweb (and she cried a little).

Honestly, the_sage is right about needing a prayer sometimes. Tbh I just use tissue paper under the fabric, it helps a ton.
