I finally saw my kombucha SCOBY hit 2 inches thick

It happened after my third batch this winter, and now I'm worried it's too big for my gallon jar. Has anyone had to split a monster like this?

My last SCOBY was over an inch thick and I just tore it in half with clean hands.

Oh man, that's a serious pancake. Mine got so thick once I had to use a bread knife on it, felt like a weird science experiment.

My last one was so dense it could have stopped a bullet.
