Changed my mind about charging hourly after a $50 logo disaster
I was working on a logo for a local coffee shop in Austin and quoted them $50 flat. After 4 rounds of tiny tweaks to the color and font I spent almost 10 hours on it. I realized I basically paid them to work on their project lol. Now I always give a fixed price but with a limit on revisions and that has saved my sanity.

Yeah but did you really learn though? 4 rounds of tweaks for $50 is rough but at least now you know to cap revisions. I flat out say "3 rounds max" in my quotes now. Saves everyone the headache of going back and forth on font sizes forever.

Ngl, I had a buddy who did a logo for $75 and the client asked for "just one more version" like 7 times before he finally put his foot down. @williams.luna you're absolutely right about capping revisions upfront, saves so much headache down the line.

Add a late fee clause while you're at it (just in case they drag their feet).
