Hit 100 house showings before I finally got an offer accepted

I started looking at houses back in March, just casual open houses at first. By June I had seen 67 places and lost 3 bidding wars. Yesterday I counted my notes and realized I've walked through exactly 103 homes. The one I finally got accepted on was a beat up 3 bed 1 bath in Arlington that needs new plumbing, but at least I don't have to keep scrolling Zillow at 2am anymore. How many showings did it take before one of you guys got a yes?

Did you hear that some people are putting in offers sight unseen now?

Heard about a guy who put an offer on a house just from looking at the street view on Google Maps. Ended up buying it and the place was totally fine but the neighborhood was not what he expected at all. Like he didn't realize the train tracks were literally right behind the fence until he moved in. People are getting so desperate they're basically gambling with their money. I mean I get it's tough out there but that's just asking for trouble.

Yeah I read that sight unseen stuff is getting more common. A buddy of mine in Denver bought a condo just from a video tour because the market was so crazy. I wouldn't do it myself but that's how desperate people are right now.
