Finally picked Fiverr over Upwork after losing 3 bids in a row

I spent two weeks sending proposals on Upwork for a data entry project and got zero replies, so I switched to Fiverr and had a gig accepted within 3 days. The client paid $150 for a 5 hour job and left a good review, which I never seemed to get on Upwork. Has anyone else found they get quicker results on one platform over the other?

Fiverr works better for smaller quick jobs while Upwork feels like a TOTAL black hole sometimes.

Fiverr's system actually takes a 20% cut on every single transaction up to $400 before it drops, which is why I personally use it for smaller stuff too @noahwood. Upwork takes 20% only on the first $500 with a client then it drops to 5%, so if you land a long term gig it pays way better. But yeah the proposal spam on Upwork is real, you gotta send 20+ apps before anyone even reads yours. Fiverr's search is just more direct for quick logo tweaks or proofreading a single page.

Upwork's lower long term cut is way better if you can actually land a client, Fiverr just eats your money on every small job.
