I finally switched from Upwork to Fiverr after 4 years and 150 proposals

Made the move last month after Upwork took their 20% cut on a $3,000 project and didn't fix a single issue I reported, but on Fiverr I landed a $400 gig in my first week with way less hassle. Anyone else had a similar flip between the two?

Man I feel you on that, the whole Upwork fee thing just gets old real fast. I had a similar moment where I did a $2,500 project and after their cut it felt like I got paid in peanuts. Fiverr has its own headaches but at least the fees are upfront and you’re not getting blindsided every time. It’s crazy how much smoother the whole process feels when you’re not constantly dealing with support tickets that go nowhere. Glad to hear the first week worked out for you, that’s a good sign.

Landed a $400 gig in my first week with way less hassle" pretty much sums up my experience too. I had the same frustration with Upwork's fees eating into everything, and switching to Fiverr felt like a breath of fresh air with simpler posting and faster replies from buyers. For me it's been a solid move so far, the lower competition on Fiverr makes it easier to stand out.

Honestly, Fiverr's just the new hotness until they take their cut too.
