The day Fiverr's automatic approval system accepted my gig for 'Professional Goat Yoga Instruction'
I was messing around at 2 AM last week and created a gig on Fiverr offering goat yoga sessions for $15. I don't own goats, I don't do yoga, and I've never even been to a farm. The system approved it instantly and I actually got a message from someone in Portland asking about availability. I canceled the order obviously, but now I'm wondering how many other ridiculous gigs slip through their filters every day. Has anyone else had a fake or joke gig accidentally go live and get real interest?

@emma_lee22 you're right that most weird gigs probably get buried, but the automatic approval thing is wild. I actually had a joke gig go live once where I offered "professional procrastination motivation" - basically just telling people to get back to work for $5. The system approved it and someone from the UK actually bought it before I could take it down. Turned into a whole awkward video call where I had to explain it was a joke and refund them. Fiverr's filters catch obvious scams but miss the creative nonsense every time.

The Portland buyer situation is exactly the kind of awkward thing @the_riley described with their procrastination gig. I feel for you having to cancel and explain yourself, that's an uncomfortable spot to be in when someone is genuinely interested. Fiverr's auto-approval really does let through the most creative nonsense while missing the obvious scams.

Its one weird gig, people post weird stuff on Fiverr all the time and most of it gets ignored. You probably just got lucky (or unlucky) with that one Portland person.
