I finally bought a proper dust extractor for my grinder
It was about $400 and I held off for years thinking my shop vac was fine. Last month I had to grind down a high spot on a concrete slab in a finished house. The old setup filled the whole place with dust in minutes, even with a bag. The new extractor kept it so clean the homeowner walked in halfway through and didn't even cough. It saved me a ton of cleanup time and probably kept me from getting another angry call. What other tools have you guys bought that you wish you got sooner?

Forget the money, think about your health. Abbyhall is right about the cost, but breathing that concrete dust every day is way worse than a big bill. Some things you just can't put a price on.

Nancyramirez has a point you can't ignore. Saw a guy on a site last year who never wore a mask while cutting block. He'd just cough and wave it off like it was nothing. Fast forward, now he's got this nasty, constant rasp and can't walk to his truck without getting winded. Makes you realize that dust piles up in your lungs the same way it does in a corner.

Honestly, that seems like a huge waste of cash for most jobs (a good shop vac with a HEPA filter does the same thing for way less).
