My contract tracker hit 100 active clients this morning and I had to check it twice

I was just looking at my project board, like I do every Monday, and the client count said 100. I thought it was a bug! I started freelancing full-time just over two years ago, and my first contract was for a simple website fix for $200. To go from that to managing 100 active agreements, even small ones, feels wild. How do you guys handle the mental shift when your freelance work scales up like that?

Honestly, that's a huge jump and I get why it feels weird. Tbh I started feeling overwhelmed when I hit around 30 regular clients. The hardest part for me was letting go of doing every single task myself. Like, I had to finally hire someone just to answer basic emails so I could focus on the actual work. How are you planning to handle the day-to-day stuff without burning out?

But honestly I've seen people scale way past that without hiring anyone. My friend runs a solo shop with like 50 clients, she just uses really good templates and sets strict office hours. She says the key is systems, not staff, and that adding a person just creates more management work for you.

Wait, 50 clients solo? Ngl that sounds like a fast track to burnout. @faithpatel is right, even emails alone would take over my whole day.
