Found out commission splits in Seattle can hit 70/30 for new agents

I was checking out local brokerage fee schedules last night and saw that exact split at a big firm near Pike Place. Has anyone else dug into how much these places actually take from your first deals?

That 70/30 split usually applies to the first 50k in commission or something like that, not the whole year. I'd double check the fine print before signing. And hey @brian_hart, you found a better spot just a couple blocks over? That's the move, location matters but the contract matters more.

Yeah those big firms by Pike Place are brutal, saw the same split and walked right out.

Ended up finding a spot across from the new market that was way better. Just had to walk a couple blocks away from the tourist crush.
