Just realized my property photos took three days to edit because of one weird shadow
I shot a condo in Scottsdale last Tuesday, and the afternoon sun threw this long, harsh shadow from a balcony planter right across the living room. I thought I could fix it in 20 minutes with my usual software. After trying three different editing tools and watching two YouTube tutorials, I finally got it looking natural. That one shadow ate up my whole Wednesday and part of Thursday. Has anyone else lost a full day to a single photo edit that should have been simple?

Ugh, that's the worst. Those tiny details make or break a listing photo for me. If it looks fake, the whole shot is ruined.

Actually took two days, not three. Tuesday for the shoot, then Wednesday and part of Thursday for the edit. That's more like a day and a half of editing work. The math just feels different when you're billing for time. Still a crazy amount of hours for one shadow.

Honestly though... is a shadow really that big of a deal? Seems like a lot of fuss over something so small. People get way too caught up in the tiny details sometimes. It's just a photo, not a heart surgery. Maybe just bill for the time and move on to the next thing.
