TIL I was wrong about cold calling for leads
I used to spend hours every morning dialing numbers from old lists, getting maybe one appointment a week. After a broker in Tampa told me to just focus on my neighborhood Facebook group, I got three seller leads in a month by answering questions about local market trends. What's your best source for freelance leads right now?

Man, I was the same way. I thought cold calling was just what you HAD to do. What changed it for you? For me, it was joining a local business owners' breakfast club. Just chatting with people over coffee, I got two solid referrals last month without making a single awkward call.

Oh man, that hits home. I used to dread picking up the phone, my stomach in knots just dialing. Felt like I was bothering people right at dinner time. Then I started just talking to other parents at my kid's soccer games, you know? Mentioned what I do once, and next week a guy asked for my card. It's so much easier when it's just a normal chat.

Wait, a breakfast club? That's genius... how'd you even find a group like that?
