A client in Tempe told me to stop chasing keyword rankings

I was showing him a report full of green arrows, and he just asked 'Did this bring in a new customer?' It happened over coffee at Cartel, and now I only track leads and calls. Anyone else had a client shift their focus like that?

Wait, they said that at Cartel? Over their coffee? That place is so loud and busy, I can't even imagine having a serious business talk there. My brain would be on the espresso machine noise the whole time. That client must have been really done with the reports to drop that truth bomb in the middle of all that chaos.

Honestly, sometimes the noise helps. People let their guard down when it feels less like a formal meeting. Just pick a corner table and lean in close.
