Found a simple meta description tweak that doubled my click-through rate in 2 weeks
I changed my meta descriptions from keyword stuffing to actual benefit-driven sentences for a client in Austin, and their organic CTR went from 1.8% to 3.6% within 14 days. Has anyone else seen a big jump just from rewriting those two lines?

Did you change anything else on the page at the same time, or was it literally just the meta description that moved the needle? I had nearly the same result with a local bakery client last month, same timeframe and everything.

Keep it to just the meta description change, no other tweaks. I tested this on a client's site last spring and saw the same jump in clicks within two weeks (seriously, it was almost identical timing). Your bakery client result lines up with what I've seen - Google just seems to reward cleaner, more specific descriptions these days.

Tried this EXACT same thing on a small plumbing site I manage back in October. Changed only the meta description to something super specific like "fix a leaky faucet in under 30 minutes" instead of the old generic stuff. Saw clicks jump by about 15% in the first week, then leveled off after two weeks just like you said. I was SHOCKED at how fast it happened, thought it would take a month at least. Google definitely seems to be rewarding those tight, action-focused descriptions now instead of the old keyword-stuffed ones. Clean and clear is the way to go.
