Used to build links manually, now I just use HARO for most of my clients
A year ago I was spending maybe 15 hours a week just on outreach for backlinks, and the success rate was terrible. After reading a case study from a guy in Tampa, I switched to answering queries on Help a Reporter Out. Now I get 2-3 solid links a month from that alone for way less work. Anyone else found a tool or method that cut down their link building time?

Sounds like a lot of fuss over links... I guess it matters for some jobs but for most regular sites, does Google even care that much anymore? Getting a couple links a month from reporters is fine, but spending hours on it seems like a waste. Maybe the whole thing is overblown.

Yeah, the part about it being overblown kinda hits for me. I mean, I see people still going crazy for links but my own site does fine with just decent content. Maybe we're all just stuck in an old habit.
