Found a $15 desk lamp on clearance that fixed my eye strain issues
Been getting headaches for months after staring at a monitor in a dim room. Picked up a cheap adjustable LED lamp with a warm setting at Target last Tuesday and my eyes don't feel like sandpaper by 3pm. Anyone else find a random fix that wasn't expensive gear?

Have you tried messing with the color temperature at all? I had the SAME problem with my eyes burning after a few hours of work. I was just using whatever light came from the ceiling fan. Then I got a cheap floor lamp with a bulb that lets you switch between warm and cool light. Turns out the cool white light was what was killing me. Once I switched to the warm setting my eyes calmed down a lot. It's CRAZY how such a small change makes such a big difference for something that was messing me up for months.

Try f.lux or Night Shift apps before you mess with bulbs.
