Why one screen is enough for my freelance projects

Everyone seems to use two or three monitors, but I find that a single screen helps me focus. When I added a second one last month, I just got more distracted.

Used to swear by multiple screens, but virtual desktops changed that.

Have you tried organizing your work with virtual desktops on one screen? When I cram all my windows onto a single monitor, it can get messy and actually break my focus. I set up separate desktops for writing, research, and communication tools. This keeps my view clean without adding another physical screen.

On Windows 10, I found that virtual desktops can get messy if I don't close apps regularly. I set up four for different tasks but kept forgetting where I put things. Now I just use one screen and minimize everything when I switch focus. What's your trick for keeping them organized?

Check how you set up your virtual desktops. I use a strict rule where each desktop gets one main app, so I never lose stuff. Do you name your desktops or just leave them as numbers?
