That $20 time tracking app I swore was a scam actually worked for tax season

I was convinced those cheap time tracking apps were just gonna sell my data or crash at the worst moment. But after struggling through last year's taxes with a messy notebook and guessing my hours, I tried Toggl Track's free version. Figured I had nothing to lose since it was just $20 for the year upgrade. Honestly, it saved me about 6 hours of sorting receipts and invoices last month alone. The reports are super clean and I could finally show my accountant exactly how much I spent on each project. My write-offs came out $400 higher than last year just from catching all those tiny 10-minute calls and emails. Has anyone else had a cheap tool surprise them like this?
