Got called out by my brother-in-law for my pegboard mess

My brother-in-law came over to borrow my impact driver last month and just laughed at my garage pegboard. He said 'dude you got bins of screws on the floor and hooks that are holding nothing.' I spent a whole Saturday pulling off everything I hadn't touched in 6 months and grouping tools by use instead of size. Now I can actually grab my pry bar without pulling down three other things. Has anyone else had a visitor point out something obvious you were blind to?

My buddy did the same thing when he borrowed my circular saw, pointed out I had three identical screwdrivers I hadn't touched since I moved in. Grouping by use changed everything for me, I finally hung a magnetic strip for the stuff I grab every week and it freed up so much space.

Stick a pegboard on the wall too, best thing I ever did for my garage. Keeps all my frequently-used gear visible and off the workbench.
