A client's request showed me the value of simple glass
Most folks in our shop always push for vivid colors in every piece. I don't agree with that anymore. Recently, I finished a clear glass orb for a client. It was just plain, with a smooth surface. They said it was perfect because it didn't distract from their room. Now I see that clear work can stand out too. Sometimes, the basics are what people really want.

Used to think clear glass was just lazy design until I made a simple vase last month. Seeing it on a shelf changed my mind completely, it just makes everything around it look better without shouting for attention. Totally agree with what @betty_coleman said about quiet pieces letting you notice the light more, that's exactly it. Now I get why people want stuff that doesn't fight with the rest of their room. Sometimes the plain thing is the hardest to get right because it has nowhere to hide. Feels good to finally see the beauty in keeping it simple.

Tried a clear glass tray in my living room, and maybe it's just me, but the space feels cleaner.

Used to roll my eyes at clear decor. Thought it was pointless and too modern. Saw a friend use a glass table like yours last year. Changed my whole view. The room just felt calm, like stuff could breathe. Now I get it, clear pieces sort of hide in plain sight. Your tray probably does that, makes the room feel tidy without trying.

Remember my buddy who redid his whole living room in all white and beige? We all thought it would look boring as heck. He put in this plain glass coffee table that seemed too simple at first. But when you sit in there now, the whole room feels bigger and calmer, and that table just fits. He says the quiet pieces let you notice the light and space more. Totally get what you mean about clear work standing out.
