Had to replace 14 panes in a single day after a hailstorm hit Springfield

The insurance company wanted it all done by Friday, so we were running nonstop. My back is still sore from hauling all that 1/4 inch tempered. Anyone else get slammed with a crazy rush job like that?

Man, that sounds absolutely brutal. Fourteen panes in a day is a marathon, especially with that deadline hanging over you. I can only imagine how wrecked your shoulders and back must feel after moving all that glass. Those insurance rush jobs will run you into the ground every single time. Hope you at least got a decent meal and a long rest after that.

Appreciate the sympathy but honestly it wasn't that bad. You get into a rhythm with big jobs and the time flies by. A hot shower and some ibuprofen fixed me right up.

Reminds me of the time I did a whole roof in one day.

Ever think those insurance deadlines are set by people who've never actually handled a sheet of glass? They see a number on a spreadsheet, not the physical grind of moving that much weight on a tight clock.
