Redoing my gym's flyer made me question the 'clean' design dogma

Many in our community push for super simple, calm designs for health and fitness graphics. I respectfully disagree with that approach. When I redesigned flyers for my gym, I went with loud colors and chaotic layouts instead. The response was great, with more people saying it caught their eye and got them excited to work out. For example, using orange and black in a busy collage style made the energy feel real. Clean designs can look nice, but they often don't spark the motivation needed for fitness. I think we should use bold, active visuals to match the sweat and effort of exercise.

Used to love clean design, but your flyer changed my mind.

Tell me what part of the flyer flipped your view?

Flip your whole view on design because of one flyer? Seems like a big change from just a piece of paper. Are you going to redesign everything you own now, or is this just a temporary thing? How much can a single flyer really shake up what you like?

How can one flyer make you rethink all your design choices? Design tastes usually come from years of seeing what works for you. A flyer is just a quick ad, not a deep guide to good style. You might like it now, but will it still matter when you pick out a couch or paint your walls?
