Can we talk about keeping hiking boots in plastic bins?

I did this and now my boots have mold (totally gross). Always let them breathe fully after a hike.

Our company is pushing group hikes for team bonding. Some coworkers think it's a good break from the office, others say it pressures people who aren't into hiking. What do you think?
