Debate: Standing desk vs sitting desk in a home office
I used to swear by my sitting desk setup for years. But after 6 months of using a cheap standing desk converter from Amazon, my back feels better but my typing speed dropped by 15 percent. Has anyone else switched and noticed a real trade off between comfort and productivity?

Tessap97 hit the nail on the head about moving around more, honestly I had the same problem where I was just locking my knees and wondering why everything hurt. And @tessap97 is so right about those textured mats too, my first one gave me foot cramps for a week.

Oh man, that 15 percent drop is wild. I got a standing mat with little bumps for my feet and spent a week just trying to figure out which spot hurt less before I could focus on typing again.

I had the same issue with my first standing mat. Got one of those textured ones and my feet were like "nope" for three days straight. Turns out I was standing way too still. Started doing little shifts every 10 minutes - lean on one foot, then the other, wiggle my toes - and it helped a ton. Also put a folded towel under my heels for the first week to ease into it. That stupid mat is great now but man it takes patience.
