The day my liability waiver got thrown out in small claims court

I was sitting in a Kansas City courtroom last June when the judge told me my generic online waiver didn't hold up because I hadn't separated the liability clause from the rest of the form. Has anyone else had a judge pick apart their contract language like that?

lol that reminds me of when my buddy tried to get out of a gym membership using a waiver he found on scribd. judge literally laughed at him and said he needed a lawyer just to read the thing.

Dude that's brutal but honestly I've seen worse. My cousin tried to fight a ticket using a template he found on some shady legal forum and the cop literally handed him a pamphlet on how to find a real lawyer. Judge said if he could explain the difference between a tort and a tortilla he'd let him slide.
