My moving truck broke down halfway through a cross-country move last month

Rented a U-Haul for a move from Denver to Austin and the transmission went out in Oklahoma City, leaving me stranded with all my stuff for 6 hours. What are people using for long hauls that won't leave you on the side of the highway?

Falling apart at a bad time just means it wasn't really together in the first place. Most stuff people call disasters just need a day or two to sort out, not the whole dramatic breakdown. Usually it's more annoying than actually serious if you take a step back.
