Rant: My entire kitchen ended up in the hallway during the move

Last Saturday in Austin, I tried to carry a box of plates up three flights of stairs alone. The box ripped open and shattered everything right there on the landing. Has anyone else had a moving disaster from not labeling boxes properly?

Oh no, that's just awful! I had a similar thing happen when a box of my cereal bowls busted open on the curb and they just exploded into a million pieces. It's so frustrating because you think you're being smart by packing everything tight, but then the box gives out and it's all over. Hope you didn't lose anything too special in that mess.

Hmm, I don't know about that, @corap61. I mean yeah it stinks when a box breaks, but exploding bowls on the curb? That feels like one of those things that sounds worse than it really is. You can pick up cheap cereal bowls at the dollar store for like a buck fifty, so it's not like losing fine china or something. Maybe it's just me, but I tend to shrug off stuff like that. People act like a broken box is a tragedy when it's really just a minor inconvenience you can fix fast.
